Academic profiles
Background
I am a Psychologist from the Universidad Nacional de San Agustín and hold a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from the same institution. In addition, I have a specialisation in sampling and probability, descriptive and inferential statistics from the University of California, Berkeley (online), another in Gender Statistics from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), and another in statistics for the social sciences from the Universidad Católica San Pablo (UCSP). I also try to keep continuously up to date in my field by taking courses on the use of the R software for data cleaning, graphical data presentation, linear and logistic regressions, and structural equations on Datacamp. I currently work as a lecturer in the courses of Psychometrics, Research Methodology, and Thesis Seminar II in the Department of Psychology of the UCSP.
I have published nearly 50 scientific articles in national and international journals indexed in Scielo, Scopus or Web of Science. I have also published about five book chapters with national and international authors. I have served as principal investigator or co-investigator in several internal projects at the Universidad Católica San Pablo (UCSP). My main research areas are: antisocial behaviour in adolescents, violence within the family and against women, and psychometrics. I have also published some articles related to metacognition, phonological awareness and reading processes. I am currently coordinator of the working group on Violence of the Interamerican Society of Psychology (SIP), as well as of the working group on Psychological Assessment. I am also an international affiliate member of the American Psychological Association (APA).
