Background
I have been a professor at the Federal Institute of Paraná (IFPR) – Jacarezinho campus since 2012, where I have the opportunity to teach across high school, undergraduate, specialization, and master’s degree levels in various programs. I hold a bachelor’s degree in History, a master’s degree in Social History, and a Ph.D. in Science Teaching and Mathematics Education.
My research trajectory began in 2013, when I entered the master’s program at the State University of Londrina (UEL), seeking to understand how the painting of artistic panels in a church affected people at the time, considering the artwork’s socialist orientation.
During my doctorate, I moved away from history to focus on understanding how Bruno Latour’s Actor-Network Theory can serve as a tool for analyzing phenomena within the field of education (teaching, learning, curricula, laws, standards, environments, etc.).
Currently, I am working on developing a research program that bridges Actor-Network Theory and metacognition. This framework focuses on networked metacognitive aspects, the interaction of non-humans in developing metacognition, and learning viewed as a controversy that triggers metacognitive processes.
